Beckett Business Services was founded in 1991 by Mary Beckett. The company incorporated in 2001 and moved its operations to a larger, owned space located at 75 Mackenzie Road, Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Beckett Business Centre provides business services and management consulting to the Inuvik Region.

Mary’s husband, David Kaufman, joined the business in 2001, as co-owner and operator of the Business Centre and Polar Bed & Breakfast. He comes to the company with over 15 years of experience working for private business and government within the Inuvik region.

Since 1991, the company has grown from a home bookkeeping and secretarial business and has expanded our services to include:

Beckett Business Centre - which provides serviced office space and a variety of management and office services.

Polar Bed & Breakfast which is located in the upper story of the building.

Boreal Books - a full service bookstore featuring Northern books, souvenirs and maps. Shop with us to find great Northern art and crafts.

Sears - Catalogue agents for Sears. Pick up your order at our store.

Motor Vehicles - As agents for the Government of the Northwest Territories, we handle registrations and drivers licences.

We aim to serve anyone doing business within the Inuvik Beaufort Delta Region both resident and non-resident alike. Additionally, Boreal Books and the Polar Bed & Breakfast serve visitors to the community. Marketing through the web, our tourist clientele include visitors from Europe, Asia, North America and around the world.
